Hello! My name is Mary. I was born and raised (and still live) in sweet home Alabama. I am a mother. I have a teenage son, Lane and an angel baby boy, Asher Knox, whom I had for 14 weeks. Asher Lane Designs, LLC, was born (to me) after the loss of my sweet DOWN RIGHT AWESOME son, Asher Knox. Asher (also dubbed AK) was born with a heart defect AVSD that was a common issue with children who are blessed to have the third, twenty first chromosome (down syndrome). After 3 heart surgeries over 4 days, his heart was not strong enough and I (along with his father) had to make the decision to allow him to rest eternally. I have many days I am on the struggle bus. Keeping my mind busy helps me cope. I began doing crafts and it has slowly launched into an all out business that I have to juggle between my full time job and chasing my teenage son around with all of his sports activities as well as his friends and their activities that I have grown to love and support like they are my own. I am a huge advocate for children with special needs after having my sweet AK and although he is no longer with me here, I will always make sure he is remembered and advocated for.
